Rev. W. Wayne Jackson
EVANS, Ga. – William Wayne Jackson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 17, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert L Jackson and Evelyn Woodward Jackson.
He was born in Augusta and was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County High School. He was an ordained minister with a passion to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all he encountered. He married his high school sweetheart, Stephanie Rushing Jackson, and was devoted to her for 45 years. Together they lovingly raised 4 children, his daughters Ashley Wahl (Christian) Evans, GA, Katie Martin (Jeramie) Evans, GA, and Anna Grace Hamilton (Brent) Martinez, GA, and a son Matthew Jackson (Jordanne) Cumming, GA. He also loved his precious 14 grandchildren, Jackson Wahl, Aaron Wahl, Levi Wahl, Caleb Wahl, Sarah Wahl, Rebekah Wahl, Isaac Martin, Andrew Martin, Joshua Martin, Eli Martin, Molly Kate Martin, Charlotte Hamilton, Benjamin Hamilton, and Noah Jackson. He is also survived by his brother Robert L. Jackson, Jr. (Mary) of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Redeemer Church in Evans at 1:00 P.M. Family will receive visitors an hour before the service at the church.
The Jackson family expresses their gratitude for the love and care shown to their husband, father, and grandfather by the staff at Madison Heights Monroe House.
