Shirley Joyce Ligon, 71, entered into rest Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Shirley was born and raised in Augusta. She was a 1969 graduate of George P. Butler High School and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She worked many years as a sales associate at Strictly Country in Evans and retired as a sales associate at Dillard's. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her two sons and five grandchildren.

Family members include her sons: Jeremy Ligon (Lisa) and Jeff Ligon (Lauren); grandchildren: Nolan Ligon, Kinsley Ligon, Jace Ligon, Coleson Ligon, and Brant Ligon; sister: Angie Quesada; niece: Michelle Brittain (John); and other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Joyce Saxon, brothers, Tony Saxon and Dwain Saxon, and brother-in-law, Marty Quesada.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
