Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, February 27, 2021, Susan Senn-Davis, loved by her husband, Rick Davis.

Susan earned her B.A. in art at Furman University and her M. Ed. at Augusta University. Before her retirement, she was a guidance counselor in Aiken County schools as well as an adjunct art instructor at USC Aiken and at Augusta University. Throughout her life, however, she was a successful artist, first as a painter, then as a jewelry designer. And it was jewelry design that became her passion. She established Senn Designs, and her one-of-a-kind jewelry designs along with the designs of her daughter and partner, Amy Hammarlund, appear in shops throughout the southeast.

She was a beautiful person. She loved art, she loved to travel, and she loved her many friends. Most of all, she loved her family. Her grandchildren, who often came to her studio to draw and paint, called her Grandy, a perfect epithet for a lovely woman.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughter, Amy Hammarlund (Erik); stepson, Richard M. Davis (Jason McKenzie); grandchildren, Sophie, Sasha and Joe; sister, Debbie Darby (Billy); brother, Jim Senn (Lisa); and her little dog, Lola. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Sue Senn.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Dr. Danny Barton officiating. Covid precautions will be taken. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Interment will be Wednesday, March 3, at 2:00 P.M. at Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca, SC.
