Timothy Carr Harriott

North Augusta, SC - Timothy Carr Harriott, age 68, affectionately referred to as Tim, Tim-Bob, Dad, Sugar, and Grumpa, left this life on July 10th surrounded by his devoted family.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents: Willis Sullivan and Louise Carr Harriott; his late wife: Julie Owens, and his father-in-law: Joseph E. Kelly III. He is survived by: his loving wife Dee Kelly Harriott; his children: Catherine Tuttle (Jake), Timothy Harriott (Leslie), Katie Avant (Austin), Parker Moore (Wynn); his grandchildren: Ava, Lyla, and Everett Tuttle, and Tripp Moore. He is also survived by his brother: Carey Harriott (Lisa); nephews: Carey (Macy) and Stuart Harriott; mother-in-law: Carroll L. Kelly; brothers-in-law: Dennis Kelly (Kim), Brian Kelly, Pat Kelly; sister-in-law: Carroll M. Kelly; his beloved cousin: Karen Seckinger and family; all the members of the Owens/Paul/Carbo/Groover family, and his awesome Kelly nieces and nephews.

Tim loved God, his Family, his friends, Georgia Tech football, Dallas Cowboys, grilling, the beach, classic rock, Miller Lite, his TV “programs”; Columbo, Poirot, Matlock, and Andy Griffith. Tim’s proudest moments in life were the births of his 4 grandchildren. Tim’s idea of a perfect day was to work out at the gym, walk 3 miles on a beach or trail, and to meticulously groom his yard into the perfect example of “yard of the month”. On Sunday afternoons, Tim found immense joy in lining the countertops with crockpots filled with his homemade tasty concoctions to feed family, neighbors, strangers, and anyone looking for a “small snack”.

Tim and Dee’s love affair encompassed their love of travel, especially Anna Maria Island and Florida’s Gulf Coast. After their retirement, they moved to Florida until Dee “ruined his life” by insisting they move closer to her aging Mother in Augusta. His misery was short lived when they purchased a second home in Pawley’s Island where they enjoyed all the amenities of a coastal lifestyle.

Left to continue Tim’s legacy are; Stevie Quattlebaum, Tommy Danos, Wip
McCuen, and his “BP Boys”. And, yes, he was a Pirate, 200 years too late….

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
