Tom Walters

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, July 23, 2022, Mr. Tommy Ray Walters, 85, loving husband of Rita P. Walters.

Tom was born in Graceville, FL. After completing his military service, Tom was employed by IBM as a Field manager in Augusta. He retired with 32 years of service with IBM.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Pam Walters, Nancy W. Libengood (David), and Julie W. Voegtlen (Bob); grandchildren: David Jackson (Courtney), Christopher Jackson (Haleigh), Paul Jackson (Candace), Dylan Libengood, and Robert Voegtlen; and a great granddaughter: Nora Jackson. He is preceded in death by his son, Greg Thomas Walters, and parents, Christopher and Bessie Walters, brothers, Boyd and Edward.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.

We are also thankful for all Tom’s doctors, nurses, and staff at the VA Hospital.
His family is very grateful to Sara Pencel, his home caregiver, for all the love and care she gave Tom.
