Walter Turner

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, May 8, 2022, Mr. Walter Neil Turner, 92, loving husband of the late Patricia Turner.

Walter was born in Union Town, PA but has lived in Augusta after retiring from the Army with 20 years of service. He was an active member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and enjoyed being involved with the children at the church and Outreach Missions. He was also active with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Family members include his daughters: Deborah Carlson (Lenny) and Trudye L. Pepper; son: Brian A. Turner; 2 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kimberly Luce.

The funeral service will be Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy McVeigh officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
