William “Bill” Bohling

Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, June 15, 2017, William Charles Bohling, 82, loving husband of Shirley Bohling.
Mr. Bohling was a longtime resident of Augusta, GA. He was an Engineer and graduated from the University of Missouri School of Mines. Mr. Bohling was a faithful member of St. John United Methodist Church. He retired from Babcock and Wilcox. Mr. Bohling was a member of West Lake Country Club and was an avid golfer, and an active Rotarian for many years. He was on the Board of Directors for United Way of Augusta, was past president of West Augusta Rotary Club and was involved with Junior Achievement. Hobbies were travel and photography.
Family members in addition to his wife, include his sons: Rev. David Bohling (LaDonna) of Martinez, Tim Bohling (Wania) of Cumming, GA, Russell Boyd (Donna) of Roswell, GA, Dr. Richard Boyd (Stacy) of Columbia, SC; daughter Melissa Bohling of Martinez; five grandchildren and numerous loved great grandchildren; and a sister: Janet Conrad (Loren).
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at St. John United Methodist Church with Pastor David Bohling officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 or to St. John United Methodist Church, 736 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 P.M.
