William Henry

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, William Goodloe Henry, 74, loving husband of Diane Dickinson Henry.

Mr. Henry was a native of Valdosta, Georgia. He played football for the Valdosta Wildcats, for the University of Miami, and for Georgia Tech. He graduated with a Business degree from Georgia State University in 1971. He served in the Air Force Reserves from 1967-1971. He was a founding member of In Focus Church from1986 until 2019 when he suffered a stroke.
Mr. Henry loved golf, hunting and cheering for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Bill began his career as a stockbroker for Courts and Company in Atlanta, then entered the insurance and financial planning business with Georgia International and Mixon-Baker. He moved to Augusta in 1986. He resumed his career as a stockbroker for Stifel-Nicolaus from 2005 until 2019.

Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Christian G. Henry (Cristy) and Jordan Henry (Emily); grandchildren: Claire and Michael Henry; and his mother: Leecy G. Coleman. He is predeceased by his father: George Walter Henry, Sr.; and his brother: George Walter Henry, Jr.

The memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Brent Garrard officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
