Alex James Paulos

In Loving Memory of Alex James Paulos.

Alex Paulos, 74, passed away on April 23, 2026. Born on February 17, 1952, in Augusta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Christopher and Doris Paulos. In addition to his parents, Alex was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark (Mary) Paulos, Blake (Gloria) Paulos, and Keith (Barbara) Paulos.

He is survived by his children Wes (Brandi) Paulos of Roanoke, Virginia and Jennifer (Matthew) Lewis of Augusta, Georgia.

He was the proud grandfather of Ella Paulos, and Grady and Hudson Lewis.

Alex had a deep love of nature. From hunting to fishing to simply admiring the natural world, you could usually find him in the woods or on the water. He loved being around and entertaining people. He was a funny, caring individual that thought about the less fortunate first. He was quick to jump into an emergency situation and lend a hand, having no ear for his own life. He worked for many years as a plumber/ pipefitter for Local 150 and the Medical College of Georgia.

Alex will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh. He was good humored and loved interacting with people from all walks of life. Alex was an excellent hunter/angler.
