Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, September 15, 2015, Mr. Allen F. Wren, 88, husband of 64 years to Mrs. Helen Brooks Wren.

Mr. Wren was born in Glascock County and attended Warrenton High School. He was a member of Augusta Old Line Primitive Baptist Church and a former deacon. Mr. Allen served 3 years in the United States National Guard. He served 4 years the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator at Allen Wren T.V. Repair Service for 44 years.

Family members in addition to his wife include son: Barry Wren (Dawn) of Martinez; daughters: Jean Roper (Mark) of Evans, Janet Ergle (Gary) of Augusta, Diane Goldman (Marty) of Evans, Donna Edwards (Dennis) of Lincolnton and Carol Crews (Randy) of Valdosta; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Klonnie Lewis, Bernice Jackson, Catherine Wren, Mildred Raley and Walter C. Wren, Jr; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wren was preceded in death by his son: Allen Joe Wren and brother: Euell Wren.

The funeral service will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Augusta Old Line Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Dwayne Hooven officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Augusta Primitive Baptist Church 3646 Old Petersburg Road, Augusta, GA 30907 or to the Augusta Warrior Project, 1190 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA 30909.
