Alyson “Aly” Jean Boudreaux passed away unexpectedly at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, GA on March 16, 2024, with her mother and father by her side. Alyson was 28 years old.
Alyson was born on June 8, 1995, in Augusta, GA. She was the oldest child of Raymond III and Cindy Boudreaux. She graduated from North Augusta High School in 2016.
All who knew Alyson knew her to be joyful, happy, and loving. Her short life brought happiness and fond memories to everyone with her infectious smile and accepting attitude. There was no challenge that she didn’t face with determination and ambition. She loved all who she met, and rarely forgot a friendly face. Alyson was the surviving twin from Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). She loved life in spite of her numerous medical diagnoses that were a result of TTTS. She was a blessing to her family, and through her trials and tribulations taught and did more for them than they feel they could have done for her.
Alyson is preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Alyssa Marie Boudreaux, and maternal grandparents, Frank and Sandra Ferrara.
Alyson is survived by her parents, Raymond III and Cindy Boudreaux of Warrenville, SC; Siblings, Kelly (Nelson) Bagwell of Flat Rock, NC; Kevin Boudreaux of Murfreesboro, TN; and Brooke Boudreaux of Warrenville, SC; Nephew, Waylon Bagwell of Flat Rock, NC; Paternal grandparents, Raymond Jr. and Clarise Boudreaux of Augusta, GA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and healthcare professionals who were more like family in assisting with her care.
The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church in Augusta, GA. A visitation with the family for those who are unable to join them for a reception afterwards, will be held in the narthex of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church at 10:15 am before the funeral. Fr. Jerry Ragan will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alyson’s life. The family would also like to invite friends, family, and loved ones to join them at their home in Warrenville for a reception to celebrate Alyson immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Foundation at tttsfoundation.org.
