Augusta, GA – Angela Faye Hadwin, 64, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 15, 1961, Angela was a lifelong Augusta native whose name perfectly reflected the life she lived—an “angel on Earth” to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Angela was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Helen Hadwin and was raised in a bustling home filled with love, laughter, and family. She often fondly recalled her childhood in Harrisburg, spending carefree days at the Girls Center and the neighborhood pool alongside her lifelong best friend and sister, Carol. The traditions and values she learned during those years became treasures she lovingly passed down to her own children and grandchildren.
A talented seamstress by trade, Angela’s greatest gift was her selfless heart. She had a rare and beautiful ability to care for others—often before they even realized they needed it. Whether offering quiet support to a grieving new mother, providing life-changing care to a cancer patient during years of treatment, or lovingly tending to elderly parents who struggled to ask for help, Angela gave of herself without hesitation. Through every challenge, she brought warmth, humor, and a smile that made burdens feel lighter.
Angela was witty, kind, and fiercely devoted to her family. She had a heart of gold and a laugh that could brighten even the hardest days. Her presence was a comfort, her love a constant, and her memory a blessing that will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply and forever missed.
Angela is survived by her daughter, Melissa Pritt Dillingham (Quentin); her sisters, Glenda McElreath and Linda Luther (Randy); her brother, Frank Hadwin (Paulette); her granddaughter, Jasmine Pritt; and her great-grandson, Bryson Pritt, Jr.
She was joyfully reunited in Heaven with her daughter, Tonya Stacy; her sisters, Carol Blake and Karen Hadwin; her grandchild, Bryson Pritt; and her parents, Frank and Helen Hadwin.
Memorial contributions may be made to Project Purple.
