Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, December 12, 2025, Mrs. Carol Carlisle Collier, 95. She was predeceased in 2011 by her beloved husband of 61 years, William Ramon Collier.

Carol was born on August 27, 1930, in Manchester, GA. After many years as a member of Lake Park Baptist Church in Augusta, GA, she became a member of First Christian Church in Belvedere, SC. Her career in Georgia and South Carolina schools included being a first-grade teacher, media specialist, and school principal. After her retirement she was a substitute teacher at numerous schools in Richmond County, GA.

She enjoyed world travel with her husband Ramon and also with family and friends. She was a source of energetic fun, humor, and laughter. Friends and family can attest to her love of cooking and baking, and she was always willing to provide a meal to those in need.

Family members include daughters Kathleen Collier Burgess (Steve) of Nashville, TN, and Jennifer Collier Sumner (Thomas) of Augusta, GA; and son William Carlisle Collier (Jan) of Decatur, GA.

Known as Granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she leaves behind six grandchildren: Tim Burgess (Kim), Sarah Pettigrew (Talton), Ben Sumner, Blake Sumner, Stuart (Emily) Collier and Payton Collier; and five great-grandchildren: Gabriel Burgess, Liam Pettigrew, Nathaniel Burgess, Claire Collier, and Lucy Collier.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. Don Prosser officiating.
