Carol Marie Heuer

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, December 6, 2025, Carol Marie Heuer, 78, loving wife of 59 years to William F. Heuer.

A native of Joliet, Illinois, Mrs. Heuer was raised Fargo, North Dakota and has spent much of her adult life in Augusta. For many years, she worked in medical administration. In her spare time, she enjoyed sailing, snorkeling, and traveling. She was fond of her canine and feline companions who preceded her death. She was also an avid reader and never left home without her e-reader. Most of all, Mrs. Heuer was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed greatly by her family.

In addition to her beloved husband Bill, Carol is survived by her sons: Jim Heuer (Stacey) and Matt Heuer (Crystal); her grandchildren: Megan, Jared, Conner, Riley, and Landon; her brother: Lambert Gill (Lois); her sister: Charlene Kelly (Scott); and her sister-in-law: Linda Young (Lloyd); and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Esther Gill and siblings: Evelyn Lean, Leonard Gill, and Virginia Mason.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
