Colonel James David Harrover, Jr. is now with his Lord and Savior. Jim grew up on a farm near Manassas, Virginia. Following graduation from Virginia Tech, he served 30 years in the Army during which time he received numerous awards and decorations. During his military service, he served in numerous overseas and stateside tours of duty. 

Jim was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Edwards Harrover. He is survived by his daughter Marilee Harrover Hatcher (Randy), and his son Dr. J. David Harrover III (Sarah). In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren Adam H. Hatcher (Courtney), Baker E. Hatcher (Caroline), Anne Randall Klein (Chris), Maggie Halicek (Martin) and Dr. Abigail Harrover (Dr. Joshua Kalish) and his great grandchildren James David, Andrew, and Adam Harris Hatcher, Jr., Baker Jr. and Frank Hatcher, Penny, Haines and Mary George Klein, and Maxi and Vince Halicek. 

Jim is also survived by his siblings Betty Duley, Curtis Harrover, Deedie Lookabaugh, Philip Harrover, John Harrover, Frank Harrover, and Sue Harrover. He was predeceased by his brother C. Warren Harrover. 

He attended Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church where he served as deacon and elder. 

A private family burial will be held at Sudley Methodist Church in Manassas, Virginia.
