Cynthia “Gayle” Hughes Beale, 76, of Evan’s, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her deeply.
Born on October 25, 1948, in Wrens, Georgia, Gayle was a woman of great strength, unwavering faith, and a heart full of love. She spent her life working as a dedicated banker, building lasting relationships with her customers and always treating them like family. Her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Gayle had a heart of gold and a fearless love for her family and friends. She was a woman of deep Christian faith, and her life was a reflection of grace, compassion, and resilience. Known for her fun-loving spirit, she could light up a dance floor with the Shag moves and brought joy and laughter to every gathering.
She is survived by her loving family; husband, Charlie Beale; her children, Tom Lewis (Renea) and Brandi Winkler (Scott); and her stepchildren, Michelle Brown (Craig), Chip Beale (Stacy), and Heather Parkerson (Tommy).
She was a proud grandmother to Hope Payne (Billy), Hudson Pulliam (Tressa), Parker Lewis, and Tucker Pulliam; and a cherished step-grandmother to Chris Brown (Jordan), Sydney Gobel (Austin), Landen Beale, Riley Parkerson, and Avery Parkerson.
Gayle’s legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren: Willow Payne, Oliver Payne, and Everleigh Gobel.
She is also survived by her sister Carol Bazemore (Glen) and sister-in-law JoAnn Hughes.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, William Frank Hughes Jr. and Minnie Lonita McDonald Williams; and her siblings William Frank “Bubba” Hughes III, Barron Hughes, Sara Brenda Whitaker, and Ronnie Hughes.
Her life will be celebrated at Thomas Poteet & Son for visitation Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. and her funeral service will be Wednesday June 11, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Hudson Pulliam, Tucker Pulliam, Parker Lewis, Billy Payne, Ray Good, and Mike Dansby.
