Cynthia Tinsley

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, April 24, 2025, Mrs. Cynthia McDaniel Tinsley, 65, loving wife of Jeffery Tinsley, for over 45 years.

Cindy was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She loved children and taught pre-school at First Baptist Church of Evans, and other private religious schools in Augusta and Hilton Head Island. She was also very involved with children in serving at Bellevue Baptist Church. She also loved the beach and going to Hilton Head during the summers and even lived there for 4 years. She was a strong-willed person who never backed down and it was her way or the highway.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her children: Courtney Tinsley, Jeffery Tinsley Jr. and his wife Heather, and Francis “Frank” John Tinsley and his wife Brittany; sister: Fran Woolard, Martha Partridge, and Kimberly Abshire; grandchildren: Joshua, Wyatt, Autumn, Tanner, Jeffery III, Savannah, Grace, John, Noah, Liam, and Emma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion Francis McDaniel and Gloria B. Abshire.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 28, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Bellevue Baptist Church in Grovetown, GA. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
