Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, November 1, 2025, David Lynn, 64.
David graduated from Augusta Tech with an Associate Degree in Instrumentation and spent his entire career in the nuclear power industry. His work took him all over the country, from one nuclear plant to another, before he wrapped up his career close to home at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina, where he served as a Senior Nuclear I&C Maintenance Procedure Writer.
When he wasn’t working, David could usually be found around something with an engine. He had a true passion for racing and took every opportunity to hit the road with friends, traveling across the country to compete with his Ford Lightning SVT. He loved riding his Big Dog Chopper through North Carolina, meeting up with buddies at local spots and soaking up every minute of the ride. In more recent years, David found just as much happiness tending to his yard—affectionately known as “DL Estates” in Grovetown—alongside his faithful four-legged companion, CJ, his Blue Heeler.
Anyone who knew David knew he was a jokester through and through. He always had a quick one-liner ready and that little grin that let you know he was up to something. He lived life in the fast lane—his way—and didn’t care much for rules or slowing down. David was a hard worker who gave his all to everything he did, proud of his years in the nuclear industry and his knowledge within the racing community. Above all, he was loyal to his friends and family. He leaves behind countless memories of laughter, loyalty, and the kind of friendship that lasts a lifetime.
Family members include his daughter: Samantha Lynn; four-legged companion: CJ; his brother: Jeff Lynn (Lynne); his nephews: Nicholas Lynn (Crystal) and Michael Lynn (Mary); his niece: Jessica Lynn (Gary); and five great nieces and nephews.
David is preceded by his brother: Mark Lynn and by his parents: Mayor Eual and Rita Lynn.
