Donald Edwards

Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, November 25, 2024, Donald Preston Edwards, 96, loving husband of the late Gloria Mae Edwards.

Donald was a native of Augusta, GA. He served in the United States Army, Navy, Coast Guard and the Georgia National Guard. He worked as the office and sales manager of the City of Augusta Water Department. He retired from the Water Department after working there for 36 years. Donald was a member of Lake Park Baptist Church. He loved to fish. 

Family members include his son: Mike E. Edwards (Brenda); daughter: Cindy Swearinger; grandchildren: Summer Edmunds (Kyle), Austin Swearinger (Brittany) and Savannah Edwards; and great-grandchildren: Kendal, Riley, and Maddux. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his son: Donald A. Edwards.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 29, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Gosey officiating.
