Donald Keith Hammett

Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Donald Hammett, 69, husband of Sharon Hammett.

Donald retired from University Hospital and Crothall Healthcare after 43 years. He loved singing karaoke and camping at the lake and the beach. Donald was an avid UGA and Braves fan and will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his love for his family.

In addition to his wife of 44 years Sharon, family members include his daughter: Tiffany Finnell; brother-in-law: Robert Davidson; nieces: Bailey Owens and Tannah Davidson.

He is preceded by his parents: Fred and Eva Hammett; brother: Mike Hammett; son-in-law: Christopher Finnell; sister-in-law: Kim Davidson; and father-in-law: Robert A. Davidson.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel with Dr. Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
