Donald Gregory Kitchens, Sr.

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, December 11, 2025, Donald Gregory Kitchens, Sr., 83, loving husband of Connie S. Kitchens.

Mr. Kitchens was a graduate of Augusta Technical Institute and then entered into the military serving 6 years in the Army National Guard. He then worked at International Paper as a millwright/pipefitter and retired after 40 years.

His main passion was anything he could turn into a hot rod. He was a skilled craftsman and could accomplish anything he set his mind to. Mr. Kitchens loved his family and he loved the Lord.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Greg Kitchens (Robin), Mark Kitchens (Toni), and Rhonda Rourke (M.E. Rourke); and grandchildren: Brandon Kitchens (Lacii), Jessica Anderson (Jeshua), Hayden Rourke (McKenzie), and Jacob Kitchens (Sarah). He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Vera Kitchens, and sister, Barbara Ann Taylor (Bob).

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Hilley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P.M., at the church.
