Donna Jean Ford

Donna Jean (Berry) Ford of Augusta, Georgia passed away peacefully on January 1,2024 at Doctors Hospital surrounded by her family. 

Donna was born December 5, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio to Owen and Gloria Berry. She graduated from Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio and Stark State College in Canton Ohio, with a degree in accounting.

Over the years she worked at several accounting firms in Ohio and most recently DeFoor Realty and Countersync in Augusta prior to her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Gloria Berry and her Aunt Betty Hull.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years Roger Ford, son, Greg Ford (Lisa) of Columbus, Ohio, Brother, Kenneth “Bo” Berry (Dianna) of Augusta, Ga, sister, Pam Anderson (Andy) of Savannah, Ga. Nieces Angel Sorochak (Bill) Savannah, Kristin Berry, Columbus Ohio, Nephews Michael Anderson (Michal) Bluffton SC, Mathew Anderson (Catherine) Bradenton Fla.  seven great nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved and many cousins and extended family in Ohio.

Donna loved her family and friends and especially enjoyed her annual beach trips to Florida with her Ohio friends.  She loved her church family at Aldersgate UMC and enjoyed traveling, cooking, word games especially WORDLE, and most of all spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends January 4, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Augusta Georgia with a Celebration of Life to follow at 4:00pm. The Rev. Brett DeHart officiating.
