Lynn Thompson

Evans, GA – Doris Lynn Thompson, 52, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, Marcus Thompson, and a devoted mother to Abigail and Andrew, who were the light of her life.

Lynn loved with her whole heart. She loved deeply, gave freely, and stood firm in who she was. You always knew where she stood — and if she loved you, you never had to wonder. She had a quiet strength, a quick wit, and a way of making people feel safe, seen, and fiercely loved.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Marcus; her children, Abigail Thompson and Andrew Thompson; her brother, Wally Wesson (Amy); and her cousins, Sherri Clark (Raymond), Dana Thomas, and Shelly Blackburn. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Binkie and Oliver.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Thompson, Wally Wesson, Adam Pridgen, Chris Blackburn, Garth Thomas, and Tyson Thompson.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held Monday, August 11, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Warren Baptist Church with Dr. David McKinley officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., at Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Rd., Augusta, GA. Please sign the guestbook at www.thomaspoteet.com
