Augusta, GA – Entered into rest, Monday, December 10, 2012, Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” C. Russell, 82, wife of 60 years to Mr. Johnnie Russell.
Mrs. Russell was a former member of Mann Memorial United Methodist Church. She graduated from Medical College of Georgia with a Radiology degree then retired as a civil servant at Fort Gordon, GA. Mrs. Russell was an avid golfer and served as president of the CSRA Women’s Golf Association. Dot had a giving spirit and loved to share her famous pound cakes with her family and friends.
Family members in addition to her husband include sons: Robbie Russell (Roxanne) of North Augusta, Jerry Russell (Barbara) of Grovetown; grandchildren: Josh (April), Sean, Jessica, Ben (Lindsey), Jesse and Beth (Russell); five great grandchildren; sisters: Mildred Kluge and Ruby McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Herb Sons officiating.
