Dr. Michael Maurer

Augusta, GA – Dr. Michael Maurer, U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Retired, of Augusta, Georgia, was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 20, 2025.

Michael was a graduate of Northwestern University School of Orthodontics. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Augusta.

Michael was the devoted and cherished husband of his wife Marsha Maurer, who survives him. Gratitude is expressed to Trinity Hospice, especially to Angie, Kimberly, Krikett, and Henry for their compassionate, attentive care and personal kindnesses; to Rev. Roger Schwartz for his spiritual nurturing and encouragement; and to dear friends and family for their love and support.

A private graveside service will be held. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
