Emily Fricks Heaton

Augusta, GA - Mrs. Emily Fricks Heaton entered into rest on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Augusta at the age of 90. Family members include her daughter: Monica Heaton Boyd (Michael); grandchildren: Emily Boyd Lyday (Paul), William M. B. Boyd (Catie), Charlotte Elizabeth Boyd; great-grandchildren: Bennett Elizabeth Lyday, Carter Heaton Boyd, William Bennett Boyd, and Thomas Brundage Boyd.

Emily was born in Toccoa, Georgia and spent much of her life traveling as a military wife. Her husband’s last military assignment was in Augusta, Georgia where she spent the rest of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, affectionately known as Gummy.

A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery in Toccoa, Georgia.
