Emily Ruth Partain

Entered into rest on Monday, May 18, 2026, surviving family members include her mother Cathy R. Partain, her aunts, Diane R. Kreisberg (Robert), Amy R. Moss (Morris), Mary R. Bates and Leanne Partain and many other loved family members. 

Emily was predeceased by her father Robert W. Partain, her grandparents Hazel Williamson, Wayne Rhodes, Ruth Partain, Robert W. Partain, Jr., her great great grandmother Marie Rhodes and her beloved partner Gary Rigdon. 

Emily was a lifelong resident of the Hepzibah/Augusta area. She was a graduate of Curtis Baptist High School. Emily loved pets, the outdoors, the beach, and always enjoyed making friends wherever she went. She always showed incredible strength and courage and always looked to the brighter side of life. Her infectious laughter, beautiful smile and the love she shared with her partner Gary for 20 years will forever be remembered. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 2 o’clock in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Thurman Norville officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
