Eric Carroll Howell

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Eric Carroll “Boots” Howell, 81, husband of Carol Howell.

Boots retired as a yard master with CSX Railroad after many years of service and served in the Navy. His hobbies included softball, watching drag racing and NASCAR, and playing golf.

In addition to his wife, Carol, family members include his children: Ashley Brian Howell, George A. Reeves III (Lesley), and Clinton Grant Howell (Brie); grandchildren: Emily Howell, Reilly Howell, Greyson Howell, Katherine Reeves, George Reeves IV, Eleanor Reeves, Jude Howell and Jett Howell; sister: Gayle Hack; brother: Larry Howell and several nieces and nephews.

No service will be held at this time.
