Frank P. Hadwin, Sr.

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, April 28, 2024, Mr. Frank Padgett Hadwin, Sr., 93, husband of nearly 68 years to the late Mrs. Helen L. Hadwin.


Frank was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1948 and retired as supervisor of Industrial Engineering Department at King Mill after more than 30 years of service. He was an avid college football fan and he loved classical music and reading. He also enjoyed NASCAR. As a father of 6, Frank sometimes witnessed chaos in the household; his remedy was singing “Peace in the Valley”, which usually calmed the household. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather.


Family members include his daughters: Angela Hadwin, Glenda McElreath and Linda Luther and husband Randy; son: Frank Hadwin, Jr. and wife Paulette; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his daughters, Karen Marie Hadwin and Carol Marlene Hadwin, and granddaughter, Tonya Stacy.


The graveside service will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in Westview Cemetery with Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
