Martinez, Georgia – Entered into rest on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Gail Burkett Kennedy, 83, loving wife of Charlie Kennedy for sixty-four years.

She was an Augusta native and worked for 27 years at Columbia County Waterworks. Gail's love for family and faith guided her life.

Family members include her Husband, Charlie Kennedy, Daughters, Renee Bryant, Karen Cromer (Chuck), and Kellye Panke (Chris). Grandchildren, Land Rhodes (Kirby), Blake Rhodes, Chad Perhonish (Alyson), Brittney Howell (Jason), Charles Cromer (Jennifer), Stetson Cromer (Kristen), Katie Panke, McKinley Panke. Gail had 12 Great-Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 4232 Evans to Locks Road, Evans, Georgia, with a Memorial service to follow.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude B. and Mildred F. Burkett, and her brothers, C. Michael Burkett and Chris R. Burkett.
