Entered to rest on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his residence, Mr. Gene J. Jennings, loving husband of Barbara W Jennings. Other family members include their daughter: Susan Gillespie (Ken); son: Timothy Jennings; grandchildren: Andrew Fisher (Larrie), Alden Fisher, Addison Fisher (Sara) and Matthew Gillespie (Kelsea); great grandchildren: Adeline and Ezra Gillespie, Noah and Robert Fisher, and Evelyn, Andie, and Gloria Fisher.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating.

Gene was a native of McCormick, South Carolina. He served 2 years in the US Army. He retired as the Chief Radiology Technician with the Medical College of Georgia, retiring after 28 years. He was a longtime member of Warren Baptist Church. He raised and trained Beagles and was a member of the Savannah River Beagle Club.
