Gloria Jean Prather

Gloria Houchens Prather, 83, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a woman of sincere faith who loved Jesus.

Gloria was an antique dealer and served for many years as a pianist at Grace Fellowship in Augusta, Georgia. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Gloria is survived by her sons: William T. (Tommy) Meacham and wife Lynn, Chad Prather, and Pete Meadows (adopted) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Lucille Houchens; husband: Elliott Lee (Pete) Prather; sister: Glenda Easter; and granddaughter: Paige Thomas who lovingly took care of her Meme for the last 4 years.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Grace Fellowship, 1725 Sibley Road, Augusta, GA 30909, with Pastor Wade Trimmer officiating.
