Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, February 27, 2026, Mr. Herbert C. Moxley, 97, loving husband of the late Myrtle M. Moxley.

Mr. Moxley was born in Toombs County, GA but had lived in Augusta for most of his adult life. He retired after more than 30 years from DuPont at Savannah River Site. After serving in the United States Army immediately following his High School graduation, Mr. Moxley went on to be a member of the Army Reserves for more than 30 years. He was a longtime member of Pine View Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting the Joy Club at Warren Baptist Church in recent years. He was a kind and gracious Christian man who made a memorable impact on anyone he met. Most of all, he was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family.

Family members include his children: Fran Randall (Tom) and Janet Lariscy (David); grandchildren: Tommy Randall (Katie), Josh Randall (Erin), David Alexander (Rebecca) and Chris Alexander (Paige); great grandchildren: Peyton, Eli, Annabelle and Paisley Randall, Banks and Ford Alexander; and brothers: George Moxley and Don Moxley. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents: Manning and Pauline Moxley; sisters: Hazel Hall and Jackie Kirkland; and brother: Larry Moxley.

The family is deeply grateful to Georgia Hospice Care for their kindness, dedication, and exceptional care.

A private graveside service will be held in Westover Memorial Park.
