Hildegard Patton

Evans, GA. – Entered into rest Sunday, November 05, 2023, at 05:50 A.M. after a long-term bout with Dementia.

Mrs. Hildegard Patton of Evans GA., wife of Mr. Jesse Patton was born September 15, 1932, in Munich Germany where she met a young soldier in her 20’s and they knew instantly they were meant to spend the rest of their lives together. They were married on April 19, 1958, and began their military family life together. During that time, Mrs. Patton became a Naturalized citizen which she was very proud to be a true American citizen. She had a love of many sport activities and was a truly kind and helpful person that helped make our world a better place. She also is renowned for starting and perfecting the Goldstar Poodles toy poodle line that is still winning championships long after the age where she could no longer pursue the hobby.

She was a devoted wife of 65 years and a loving mother to her son George Patton and his wife Donna Patton (My Donna) of Augusta, GA., as well as a proud grandmother to Zane Groves of Augusta along with two beautiful great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Patton will be laid to rest with her husband of 65 years, SGM Patton at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 9:00 AM. The viewing will be at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors on Davis Road, Thursday, November 09, 2023, between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
