Jackson "Jackie" Reindl

With deep sorrow and immense grief, we announce that our loving son, brother, family member and friend Jackson Columbus Reindl ended his life on the morning of January 23, 2023 at the age of 23.

Jackie was born in Las Vegas and traveled to multiple states and countries, making few but intentional and deep connections wherever he went. While living in Finland, he studied culinary arts. After his studies, he worked in a variety of restaurants both overseas and in the United States. One of Jackie’s constants from childhood was his love of music. He learned to play multiple instruments over the years and was at his best creating sound. He could spend hours talking about and sharing his works of art. He wrote many amazing and unique electronic songs and collaborated with artists around the world under the name xtal-yume, which means “dream crystals.” His EP is available on Bandcamp and SoundCloud for anyone who would like to connect with him through what he loved doing most.

Jackie was a beautiful, sensitive soul who saw the world differently than most. He had one of the kindest hearts, and the darkness of the world was heavy on someone who cared so profoundly. He had a gift in twisting the darkness into a particular humor and could see people for who they really were in what felt like a single glance. While Jackie struggled with mental health, we will never know what brought the end. What we do know is that wherever he is now, he is at peace and continuing to be the most thoughtful, precious soul we will ever know.

The shy laughs, mischievous looks, occasional chalk masterpiece, facetious comments, and the sounds of newly created music echoing through the house will only occur in memories now. There is no one like Jackie. We are so honored and thankful to have had him in our lives and will continue to carry him in our hearts forever.

Now, only time separates us.

We LOVE and MISS you so much Jackie.
