Evans, GA - James Eugene Kile, 85, of Evans, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 14th. James was born in Atlanta, Georgia.

In 1965, he married the love of his life, Brenda. In 1970, they relocated to Augusta, where James continued his work with RCA and later became a successful business owner. He went on to earn his real estate and broker licenses and focused the latter part of his career on land development.

Prior to moving to Augusta, James was a competitive skater and enjoyed skiing and scuba diving. After settling in Augusta, he became a member of Warren Baptist Church. James was an avid golfer all his life and earned multiple club championship titles at various courses throughout the years. In addition to golf, he enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting.

James was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Eugene Kile. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Brenda Kirk Kile; his daughters, Kim (Mike) Pond and Lisa (Jeff) Ballard; his grandchildren, Riley, Drew, Alex, and Grayson Pond, and Ethan Ballard; and his great-grandson, Palmer Gamlin. He also leaves behind his devoted brother, Phil L. (Patricia) Kile of Hendersonville, TN, a nephew, Phillip Kile and niece, Amy Edwards.

Visitation will be held at Thomas Poteet & Son on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. A private burial in Atlanta, Georgia will follow.
