It was in Augusta, that she met her husband, Ray, and graduated from Tubman High School for Girls. Jane enjoyed painting china, landscapes, and watercolors, trips to the Mall, the Movies, lunch with her “Peaches” group, home and garden tours, decorating, and antiquing.

They had the best of times, cheering the Bulldogs to victory, hosting fabulous Halloween parties, and bringing in the New Year by clanging pots and pans on the front porch at midnight, as well as, memorable trips to Charleston, Disney World, and New York City.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved three year old daughter Mary Lynne Lackman, and her sister Anna Clontz Crawford.
