Joann was born in Mississippi but lived in Augusta for many years. She worked as a hospice nurse at Augusta University. Joann enjoyed drinking tea, eating lasagna, shopping and travelling, especially when she was the driver. She also loved to get her hair and nails done. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Joann will be missed by all who knew her.
Family members include her sons: Kendall Smith (Brittney), Kyle Smith (Christiana); grandchildren: Heaven Smith, Kaliyah Smith, Aiden Smith, Camelia Smith; mother: Yvonne Smith Chisom; brother: Lester Smith, Jr. and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her brother Wesley Smith.
