Joel McKinney

Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, September 8 Joel William McKinney, 71, loving husband of Janet McKinney.

Joel was a free spirit and loved his life. He always had a deep love for music and played in a band from his early teens until 2001. He enjoyed traveling to the mountains, especially Gatlinburg, TN. He had a great love for his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. Joel was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church.

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Joel McKinney, Jr., Summer Young (Matt), Christle Moore (Chris), April Hutto (Gerald), Kelly Nichols, Krissy Barton (Robert); grand-children: Savannah, Kayla, Banks, Liam, Gage, Autumn, Brandon, Nathan, Jason, Nyah, Noah, Justin, and Landon; sister: Faith McKinney (Heather); brother: Michael McKinney (Paula); and many extended family members.

The funeral service will be held at a later date.
