Joseph Rufus Collins

Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, November 10, 2025, Joseph Rufus Collins, 88, loving husband of 61 years to Anne Linder Collins.

Joseph bravely served the citizens of his community for 31 years in the City of Atlanta Police Department. He also served his country in the Georgia National Guard. A Civil War enthusiast, Joseph enjoyed history and even searched for and found Civil War relics. He was an animal lover. Joseph loved the Lord and his family deeply.

Family members include his wife: Anne Collins; children: Sara Collins-Maloney and Joseph Rufus Collins, Jr.; grandchildren: Sara Elizabeth Peterson, Hanna Lauren Peterson, Kelsie Morgan Collins, Emma Grace Maloney, and Wyatt Rufus Collins.

He was preceded in death by his sisters: Betty Jean King, Margie Sweazy, Yvonne Jacobson, and Mary Adams.

In keeping with his wishes, no service will be held at this time.
