On June 1st 2024, Joshua Detchemendy, at age 46, unexpectedly passed away in Grovetown. He was born March 18th, 1978 to Mark & Gloria Detchemendy.  

 

Joshua is preceded in death by his father, Mark, and brother, Noah.

 

Joshua is survived by his two children, Oscar Detchemendy & Magnolia Detchemendy; siblings: Melissa Detchemendy (Crystal), Michelle Patel (Vipul), Luke Detchemendy (Bridget), Abraham Detchemendy (Katie), Jeremiah Detchemendy (Michelle), Edward Detchemendy (Brittany); nieces and nephews: Cara Chimento, Brittney Edmunds, Ella Detchemendy, Maialen Patel, Maeve Detchemendy, Shy Patel, Liam Kennedy, Oliver Detchemendy, Valin Patel, Lawson Detchemendy, Canon Detchemendy and Mila Detchemendy, and his girlfriend, Bridget Buckley.

 

Joshua Detchemendy was a remarkable mind, talent, and chef who helped pave and lay a foundation for Augusta’s culinary successes. Aside from his love for cooking, he had a deep love for his children & family, spirituality, nature, and cared deeply that there was heart and intention behind their life.

 

The world lost the most beautiful soul.  We will miss his infectious laugh, his joke telling, his amazing hugs and just all the beauty he naturally exuded.  He was everyone’s favorite person and he will be missed beyond measure.  

 

Services will be Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at the downtown river walk amphitheater and will be followed by a celebration of life at Metro Coffee House on Broad Street Downtown from 12:00 until 3:00 P.M. for food, music, and fellowship.
