Judy Barber

Judy Barber entered into rest on Sunday, October 19, 2025, after a 5-year battle with cancer. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on June 8, 1943, to the late T.I. and Edith Barber.

Judy graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1961 and then attended Augusta College. She retired from the United States Postal Service. Judy enjoyed antiquing, attending estate sales, and traveling. She had a varied collection of antiques and loved sharing the history of each item.

Family members include her adopted sister: Brenda Mercer and her children Gin Sellers, Bo Sibilsky (Mandy), grandchildren Alex Sellers (Taylor), Trevor Sibilsky (Abigail), Samantha Sibilsky (Sophia), Blakely Sibilsky, and Cami Sibilsky; and her adopted siblings: Marion Williams, Lanier Brown, and Ed Brown.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the caregivers from Right At Home (Angela, Veronica, Connie, Shirley, and Tay) for their attentive and loving care for Judy.

A memorial service for Judy Barber will be held Saturday, December 6 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Narthex, Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 North Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia County Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
