Kathleen Joan Robinson

Kathleen Joan (McNamara) Robinson of Augusta, GA passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. 

Kathy was born in Los Angeles, California, on July 8, 1951. She was the second oldest daughter and loved spending time with her family and friends growing up on the sunny Gold Coast. She was a true “little surfer girl”. 

Kathy made Augusta her home for more than fifty years. She especially cherished creating memories with her son Jeff and daughter Carrie, as well as the many friendships she nurtured over the years. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family,friends, and pets. 

She found happiness in the simple beauty of nature—whether kayaking, gardening, biking, or relaxing at the beach. She loved an adventure and always wanted to travel, she drove across the country many times over. She worked for many years in veterinary offices across Augusta, where her care and dedication shone brightly for animals. 

Known for her kindness, humor, and radiant smile, Kathy had a remarkable way of brightening every room she entered. She leaves behind countless cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Nicholas and Joan Rita McNamara. She is survived by her children, Jeff M. Robinson of Augusta, GA, and Carrie L. (Ben) Sears of Charleston, SC; her sisters, Malia Henretta of Phoenix, AZ, and Joanne McNamara of Portland, OR; and her brother, Daniel McNamara (Wendy) of Augusta, GA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 3, 2025 at 11 am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or to the CSRA Humane Society or any caring animal rescue in her honor.
