Kenneth "Ken" Maxwell

Augusta, GA – Kenneth Allan Maxwell passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Ken was born February 12, 1954 and was the son of the late Connie and Allan Maxwell. He was a lifelong, 4th generation resident of Augusta, proud of his family ancestry. He was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County class of 1972 and attended Augusta College and North Georgia Technical College. He spent his whole life in the hardware and building material trade. Ken was a highly respected Engineered Lumber Structural Designer, an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was also a member of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Hunt. He is survived by his husband of 32 years, Billy Roberts; sons, Allan Maxwell of Asheville, NC and William Maxwell (Emily) of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, Hayes and Austin; and very close friend, Brian Muller.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in Westover Memorial Park with The Rev. Terri Degenhardt officiating.
