Kerry Lee Williams, age 70, of Evans, Georgia, passed away on March 17, 2026.
Kerry was born on May 14, 1955, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Albert Lester Williams and Mary Belger Williams. He grew up in the Augusta area and went on to attend Georgia Southern University, where he graduated and was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
Kerry will be remembered for his devotion to family and the lasting relationships he built throughout his life. He carried with him the values instilled during his upbringing in Augusta and maintained strong ties to his community and loved ones. He also had a deep love for animals and rescued many dogs over the years, giving them safe and loving homes.
He is survived by his son, Clayton Williams; his twin brother, Kenny Williams; and his sister, Stephanie Williams Flanders.
In addition to his parents, Kerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Price Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal rescue in Kerry’s memory.
Losing people changes how you see time. After losing someone close, you begin to notice how casually we treat the days we are given. We speak as if decades are guaranteed, as if there will always be another holiday, another phone call, another chance to say the things we keep putting off.
Someone who was once part of your normal routine suddenly isn’t. The conversations stop. The chair is empty, and all the moments you assumed you still had together disappear overnight. Grief has a way of clearing the noise and reminding us that tomorrow is never promised.
We are given today. Today to make the call. Today to say “I love you.” Today to take the step God has been nudging you toward. Because one day the ordinary moments you rushed through will be the ones you wish you could sit in again.
Time is a gift.
