Mark Molidor Wilhelmi

Mark Molidor Wilhelmi entered into Heaven on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2025.

Mark was born April 16, 1988 in Augusta, GA. He attended St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School and Aquinas High School. He was a graduate of Georgia Southern University and was a proud member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and served as its Chapter President. He also was a student campus policeman for the university.

Upon graduation, Mark moved to the Atlanta area and began his career in real estate as a licensed agent and property manager. For several years he was associated with Harry Norman Realtors in Atlanta. Mark later developed a successful online furniture sales business. Mark always had a natural flair for sales of all types. Over the years he sold motor scooters, TVs and ultimately high-end furniture.

In the last year of his life, Mark decided to circumnavigate the big, beautiful world through 16 countries with nothing more than his passport, cell phone, a few dollars and his hiking boots. In the spring of 2024 joined his “Momma”, godfather and aunt and hiked the spiritual pilgrimage, The Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain, ultimately ending at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Mark had a special way of making friends all through his life. He had a kindness in his soul as well as a unique sense of humor which naturally drew people, both young and old, to him. Sadly, that zest for life was pulled from him over recent years for reasons still not fully understood. He was a true believer in God and the life hereafter. Finally, his sadness and pain were too much for him to bear, and ultimately, he chose to be in Heaven with his grandparents and his Maker.

Mark is survived by his parents, Marcie and Mark Wilhelmi, brother, L.J. (Christy) Wilhelmi and his two nieces, Harper and Reese, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Godspeed dear son and may the light of God shine upon you for all eternity.

The family will be having a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484. Please sign the guestbook at www.thomaspoteet.com.
