Marlene Metzler

Marlene Metzler, 82, entered into rest Sunday, September 15, 2024. 

Marlene was a native of Germany. She worked as a dental assistant in both Germany and in Augusta for many years. She was extremely hard-working, and she loved sitting outside and enjoying her flowers. 

Family members include her children: Gerald Metzler (Teresa), Heidi Stewart (Roger), and Patricia Wallentine (Brett); grandchildren: Rushton Metzler (Mandy), Nicole Freitas, Aaron Stewart, Lexi Lord, Gabby Lord (Hayden), and Taylor Lord; great-grandchildren: Knox, Luke, Tatem, Harleigh, April, Dawson, Westlyn, and Micah; and sister: Erika Bischoff. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. Cornelius Anene officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
