Mary M. Boles

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Mary McNulty Boles, 86, loving wife of the late Bernard Eugene “Gene” Boles.

A native of Unadilla, GA, Mary lived in the Augusta area for seventy-four years. She graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1957 and received a BS in Secondary Education from Bob Jones University in 1961. A lifelong educator, Mary taught math at Butler High School and North Augusta High School for a total of thirty years and retired from North Augusta HS in 1994. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church.

Mary loved to read, write daily in her journal, do crossword puzzles, travel, and spend time with family and friends. Mary was a prayer warrior and loved to tell others about Jesus. She spent the last two years witnessing to those who took care of her, as well as other residents of Brandon Wilde. She will be missed by many.

Family members include her daughters: Stacey Meyer (Jeff) and Darby Finley (John); grandchildren: Tripp Finley (Chandler), Meredith Finley, Pierce Finley, and Courtlyn Barbery (Dr. Brandon Barbery); and great-grandchild: Ford Finley.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Dr. Joshua Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
