Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, May 29, 2025, Mary Lou, 95, wife of LTC John E. Dean (deceased.)

Born in Piqua, OH. along with her husband, Mary Lou worked for many years as a Bridal Consultant at J.B. White’s/Dillard’s Department Store, where she retired. She was very active in her community as an avid bowler, winning many trophies, and as an involved member of The Officer Wives Club at Ft. Gordon. It was here that she hosted a specific luncheon for Mamie Eisenhower. Later in life Mary Lou was known to enjoy The Fellowship of The Senior Friends Organization at Doctors Hospital.

Family members include her son: Jeffrey S. Dean and wife Kay; daughter: Shelly Dean Saul and husband Bobby Saul; Grandchildren: Megan Dean Sutton and husband Dr. Zachary Sutton of Augusta; Jeffrey Scott Dean Jr. and wife Dr. Caitlin B. Dean of Augusta; Shaley Allnock of Pooler, GA; Great Grandchildren: Thomas Zachary Sutton; Charles Clary Sutton; Henry Russell Dean; Preceded in death by, parents: Raymond and Adah Manson; Sisters: Betty Miller and husband Jack of Springfield, OH; Rosalie Apple and husband Herman of Dayton, OH; and brother Ray “Bud” Manson of Van Wert, OH.

The graveside service will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. David Hunter officiating.
