Mary Stephens

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, August 22, 2024, Mary Jane Stephens, 65, wife of the late James “Bert” Welbert Stephens, Jr.

Mary was a longtime resident of North Augusta, SC. A loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose smiling face touched all that knew her. Mary retired from the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) after 28 years of service. Her love will live in the hearts of her children, and grandchildren forever. Mary will never be forgotten, and her heart will be with all that knew her.

Family members include her daughter: April Emery (Patrick); sons: Fred Hucksam (Crystal) and Cody Stephens (Whitney); six grandchildren and brothers: Roy Cuddahy and Joe Cuddahy. She was preceded in death by her husband James “Bert” Welbert Stephens, Jr.

The graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
